This data visualization project sheds light on the 93-year gender gap in the Academy Awards, focusing on major categories that are not gender-specific (e.g. Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Picture). The goal was to make the systemic imbalance in recognition more visible and undeniable through a striking, research-based visual narrative.
